Nicole Harris is the recipient of the Okanagan School of Education’s Outstanding Master’s Thesis Award

B.A.R.K. handler and graduate student Nicole Harris is the recipient of the Okanagan School of Education’s Outstanding Master’s Thesis Award! Her thesis “Skills fur life: Exploring children’s experiences of participating in a canine-assisted social-emotional learning program” was an innovative study exploring canine-assisted intervention as a social-emotional learning tool. As we celebrate the completion of Nicole’s masters, we also celebrate the partnerships with Okanagan Boys and Girls club and the Telus Thompson Okanagan Community Board, the dedication of our volunteer handlers, and the hard work of our student leaders and mentors in this program. Congratulations Nicole!
