Congratulations to Mikaela Dahlman for Winning Best Student Poster at the SCAS Conference!
We are excited to share that Mikaela Dahlman won Best Student Poster at the Society for Companion Animal Studies (SCAS) conference this weekend! Her poster, titled “Consolidating Conversations: Recommendations for Streaming AAI Vocabulary in Practice,” aimed to provide insight and direction for terminology use in the field of animal-assisted interventions (AAIs).
Mikaela describes that leading this poster project has provided her with invaluable experience in professionally presenting her research:
“I am honoured that our work was chosen for this award based on the methodological rigour and alignment with the conference theme: “Interdisciplinary innovation: How can we advance research and practice in human-animal interactions?” I am extremely proud of this project and thrilled to have presented this work on behalf of my colleagues, Freya, Arielle, and Dr. Binfet.”
Mikaela hopes this research will help the field move forward in a streamlined manner and looks forward to further research in this area.
