We’ve wrapped up for the winter break!

It’s officially the end of term – congratulations to all of our UBCO students who have made it through exam season and are heading off on their Winter Break! We’ve had an exceptionally busy semester with over 3,000 visits from UBCO students, staff, faculty, and community members! Not only have we been running our Segments study, Drop-in, VEDA, and B.A.R.K.2Go sessions (with record-breaking numbers for B.A.R.K.2Go), but we’ve also hosted and attended lots of special events! This semester, we attended the newly-revamped Jumpstart Orientation, Create, Exam Jam, and the International Day of Persons with Disabilities AND we hosted special Staff and Faculty Pit-stop, a Weeks of Welcome Drop-in and English Foundations sessions! Phew!

On behalf of everyone at B.A.R.K., we wish you a wonderful winter break! We too are taking some time to relax and recuperate in late December and early January but we’ll be back soon and ready to kick off another busy semester packed full of B.A.R.K. sessions!

We also wish to take a quick moment to thank our wonderful B.A.R.K. handler-therapy dog teams and student volunteers. We really couldn’t have such fun-filled semesters without their hard work, dedication, and passion! To all of you who contributed your time to this program this semester, thank you and Happy New Year!
