We are very excited to be back on campus for the New Year and announce our session dates for the semester! Along with our usual BARK2Go, drop-in, and VEDA sessions, we are thrilled to announce a new BARK2Go station in the Sawchuk Family Theatre! We hope to see you on the following dates, whether you are a student, faculty, or staff.
Drop-In Sessions: Meet us in EME 1123 on Friday evenings from 4:30-6pm to interact with 12-15 therapy-dog handler teams. After filling out a brief questionnaire to help us with our ongoing research, you are welcome to stay and de-stress as long as you wish. We look forward to seeing you there! Join us on January 31, February 7, February 28, March 7, March 14, and March 21.
BARK2Go sessions: These sessions are designed as an on-the-go program between classes, but we welcome you to stay for the whole session too! In 2025, you will find the dogs in four locations across campus! Join us in the EME foyer, Library Flex Space, 2nd floor of the UNC, and we the BRAND NEW station in the Sawchuk Family Theatre (Commons)! You will find 2-4 dogs at each station where you can decompress, connect with friends, and enjoy the company of our canines. Join us on February 12, February 26, March 5, March 12, March 19, March 26, April 2, and April 16 (Library only on April 16). Please note that there will be no EME station on the first two dates.
VEDA sessions: We are delighted that we are able to offer sessions off-campus as well once monthly in the VEDA Student Living buildings! These sessions will run in the Apex clubroom from 6-7pm on Monday evenings. Here you will find 3-5 therapy dog-handler teams to visit with and make new friends. Join us on January 27, February 24, March 31, and April 11 (Friday special).
